I contracted in the fall of 2022 with Mary's Maids because I needed help with my home and this company had been recommended by a friend.. The woman who cam out was Debbie; she said she was the owner and she brought Amy, one of her maids. I told her I needed all three of my bathrooms cleaned, and my kitchen floor, laundry room floor and eating area off kitchen., basically all the tile......not too much one would think. She quoted me $130.00/monthly and I agreed. She told me she would call me every month to set up a day and time and I agreed, given it was approximately the same time every month. The first time the maids came Amy worked on my master bath the entire time given that it has a lot of shower scum build-up. She did not quite get the shower clean, but said she would work on it again next month. The other 2 girls cleaned the other two bathrooms and the tile floors that I had requested. The job was okay...not perfect, but I felt it was passable. They were here for about 3 hours and the house smelled really nice when they left. The next month Debbie called,, set up a day and time and basically the same crew came and did the same thing. They continued for about a year and did an okay job. They never did an excellent job. There was also something that didn't get cleaned that I had originally asked to be cleaned.
About a year later I failed to get a phone call in June of 2023. I called in July and set up a time and 4 girls came out. I had never seen any of them. They used NO CLEANER. Everything they did was just with water. I noticed they used dirty sponges, rags and a dirty mop. ...you could not tell ithe house had been cleaned when they left, and indeed, it really had not been. I had watched carefully in July of 2023 and never once saw them use any cleaner. They mopped the kitchen floor with water and after they left, I checked under the kitchen table and there was a pile of crumbs and the floor was dry under the table. They never moved a chair away from the table even though I had originally told Debbie that I wanted the chairs moved in order for them to adequately clean under the table. Even with all that was beginning to displease me, I never once complained to the girls or Debbie. I always thanked them and told them I would see them "next month".
After that July 2023 visit I never got another phone call again. Debbie never called to explain anything,L why she was not scheduling any more cleans, why the girls stopped using cleaner, or why she could no longer clean my house, if indeed that is why she stopped calling to set up an appointment. I did not feel it was my place to tell the girls how to clean, or to call and ask for an appointment. I heard that she lost Amy who was really the only one of her maids that actually cleaned until something was clean. Amy did an excellent job on my master shower and gave me tips on how to maintain it and keep the soap scum from building up, including product names that would help.. Unfortunately I do not think she is still with Mary's Maids.. If the company had run into problems, then Debbie should have been more professional and called to explain what the problem was and that she no longer have enough maids or the time to take care of my home anymore. Instead she just chose to write me off (someone she had a contract with). VERY UNPROFESSIONAL to treat one of her regular customers with silence. I could not recommend this company.

The husband booked me a day at the spa while Mary's Maids came to clean the house as a Mother's Day gift. Every Mom's fantasy, right?!

The husband really delivered on the gift, but Mary's Maids didn't execute their part. The house was half cleaned at best. It was supposed to be an all over deep clean and was quoted $150. They came out and said it would be $170, but they'd give us a "$10 discount". Not sure of the explanation for the price increase as our house was truly not that dirty.

We asked them to use our (Mrs. Meyers) cleaning products. They chose to use their own Scrubbing Bubbles since she "wasn't familiar" with mine. They mopped the floors with plain water even though there was an unopened bottle of Mrs. Meyers mop solution. Plain water for mopping....like what good does that do?!

The baseboards and cabinets weren't even cleaned.

They bleached the color out of our bathroom rug even though they swear they didn't use bleach. They argued with me for a solid 10 minutes saying that it was already like that.

They offered to come back and "make it right" but we really weren't comfortable with them coming back into our home.

House is 676 sq feet. 2 bedrooms (1 bedroom was not thoroughly cleaned as area had boxes so no room to clean or get to window, blind walls) 1 bath living room, kitchen with eating area and laundry area.
Cleaners to be there at 10 am, then 10:15, 10:40 am they arrived. We discussed cleaning needs. Cleaners called office, reviewed house. They quoted me $275. Which was for in depth cleaning to include refrigerator inside outside on top sides. House does not have carpet, no dishes or laundry. I left house at 10:45am the cleaners went out to smoke in there car At 2:00 I received a call message was they were finished. I could not return call at that moment. They called again and again. I returned call and they said they were finished and needed the money $275. I was baffled that the house could be completely cleaned in 3 hours 15 minutes. I told the office I expected the work to take longer since the company said it might take 2 days. I was quoted by the job not the hour.
I was unable to come to approve service until my car was completed from oil change. So I was to take money by office next day Friday
I went to house Thursday afternoon late reviewed the work. Window blinds were dirty, curtains not shaken out or off, pictures not dusted or cleaned, cobwebs
in bedroom. laundry room walls, trash not taken out, floor did not appear to be cleaned.
Cabinets and doors not wiped off throughout house, top of refrigerator dirty. house did not have smell of a freshly cleaned house. The ceiling fan (3) blades were not cleaned, dust on blades top and bottom. Floor furnace grate was not swept. Hair, dust remained. Under the only bed was dust and cobwebs which appears was not swept underneath. Window sills were not dusted throughout the house.
I did not pay for cleaning services on Thursday as I wanted to speak with the service.
MARY the owner came to house Friday 2-22-19 at 2pm. She was very rude and condescending when I showed her the areas and concerns. She replied “it’s minute nothing big”. I told her “for $275 the house needed to be cleaned all the way”.
So MARY was having the cleaner use paper towel from the house to wipe blinds. When I was ask for a rag I told them they needed to get there cleaning tools as I had paid for that. MARY and cleaning lady returned to office, cleaning lady returned with cleaning supplies and worked til 4:00pm.
There was still dust on fan blades! House looked better. Not smelled clean. It was not $275.00 clean. I am requesting $100.00 be returned to me for failure to complete services that were promised. I will agree to pay $200. You returning $75. To me by March 2nd 2019. If You have any questions please call. Thank you.
