Occidental Cleaners is always clean which is a definite plus. In a bustling busy cleaners with clothes and orders coming in out. If they are able to keep the front in order and clean - you know their dedication to the quality of your garments are top notch.

This busy family ran cleaners has been servicing the Los Angeles area for 13 years the 2025 will be there 14th year in business.

When you bring in your garment, they are detailed oriented and focused about issues you may have with your garment you would like fixed, cleaned and or repaired. They offer industry expert advice to resolve your issue.

They are honest and upfront in their approach in letting you know about their ability to repair / clean or not to be able to clean / repair an item, and if it would be of benefit for you to have the work done.

They are always upfront about the cost and I love the automated texts to let you know when your item is ready for pick up.

They are terrific and thorough and expeditious with their alterations too!

My usual guy that handles my dry cleaners needed to settled some family affairs and so he shared with me that he was going to be out for a while. Naturally, I began looking at highly rated cleaners that was along my commute. Occidental Cleaners came in with glowing reviews and while there are other cleaners I could have went to, this was most convenient at the time.

Initially the service was fine, but that deteriorated later down the line. She had difficulty spelling my name and taking down my number, and mind you I was patient and understanding, while at the same time trying to break it down as slowly as possible. I had about 5 shirts, a hoodie, a jean jacket, and a small repair that needed to be made on a cotton shirt. That total was around $95.00. I was just floored, anywhere else this would have been no more than $60-$70 (if that), but this just seemed unnecessarily high. I'm not one to fuss over prices, I was there the clothes needed to get cleaned, so I paid it.

I come back a few days later, and the lady at the counter can't find my items. She's now talking to me in this manner that's like disbelief that I dropped my clothes there at all. This was on me, I misplaced my receipt and thought that they would be able to draw up my order via my name and number. I go through and ransack my car to find the receipt and bring it to her, just to find out that she misspelled my name and wrote down the wrong number. But wait it gets even funnier. Once she gathers my clothes, she tells me that she charged me the wrong amount on one of my clothes by like $5.00, and that she needs me to pay for that. Of course I'm also hit with a .50 cent charge because I'm using my card.

For this flagrant lack of detail and negligence, especially if I'm paying now $100.00 for work that wasn't even beyond the common standard of dry-cleaning, I had to give this establishment this rating. If I find the receipt, I'll make sure to update it with the name of the lady that was up front. Overall, I would avoid, overcharging in this market is just bad business. The reason this has any stars at all is for the workers who actually did clean and repair my clothes, but the service makes this place untenable to go to.

I brought my once worn formal gown hear to be dry cleaned and it had some stains. (I’m a klutz). I was in sticker shock when it came to $45. But, I haven’t dry cleaned anything in years so I’m assuming that’s the price. Anyway, it’s worth it because all the stains are out and I’m going to a wedding on Saturday so all in all I’m pleased. Thank you Occidental Cleaners for doing a phenomenal job on my champagne satin formal gown!

I was a long time customer at this place. They ruined my expensive pair of sneakers, refused to replace it, then claimed to have disposed of it, but insisted that I pay $190 for the cleaning fee of the sneakers. Either find another cleaner or be prepared to lose your clothes with zero accountability

Thieves. Left my Gucci Bag there to get cleaned, they charged me $65 and told me theyll call me on the 2nd of august 2024, they didn’t call me so I came in on the 4th to collect. The lady told me I have already collected it on the 31st of July? Yet I’m stood here with a receipt that says it’ll be ready from the 2nd of august. Blatant thrives. Told me to call the police while sweating like wet pigs. Disgusting way to treat a visitor to your store. Will be suing and police being called now as I’m stood outside.

Update: 2 hours of waiting for police to arrive they closed at 2pm and sailed into the sunset, ignoring me and not answering any questions. Will update soon

Terrible service!! Anyone wants to take their expensive clothes to there please pay attention!! I took my Supreme X TNF by any means Nuptse jacket (brand new worth over $3000) there, and ask them to take care of two small stains with wet wash and mild detergent specifically. After the service, I found the stains was still there and black scratches all over my jacket and partial of my jacket dyed darker. When I question them about the damage, they treat me with terrible attitude and does not willing to take any responsibility. During the discuss, there was basically no solution offered. All they offered was re-clean it one more time which I give them a second try, but they only made more black scratches and the yellow color was further faded. After two terrible services, I have no choice but take my jacket and leave because all they offered was still re-clean it.

Add review: By the way, I am super curious what kind of agreement was offered except re-clean it?

After two services the end result was the jacket was dyed partially black and black scratches all over the jacket. They claimed that the black color came off from the inside of the jacket.

Common sense:
1. If you really performed wet clean as you said you did. Why the jacket was dyed partially black? If the black color came from the jacket itself, and undergo wet cleaning the black color should evenly distributed by water right?
2. It is common sense to turn the down jacket inside out before put it into a loading washing machine. Then where did all those black scratches came from on the outside of the jacket?
