We contacted the Boca Raton, Florida location of Lowe's Cleaning Services, to have our air ducts cleaned which was done on February 20, 2024. Upon arrival, the tech informed us that he would be joined by a colleague of his, who was "in training" and it was his first day, or thereabouts, on the job. As part of the process, they took off all the air vent covers and washed them outside. After completion of the job we noticed later that one of the vent covers was scuffed up, and upon further inspection, we noticed that all ten of them were scuffed up, and that the finish had come off.
We contacted a manager of the company who advised us that there was nothing they could do and that the water must have caused it, "which rarely happens," and that we could paint them. We then told him that in our opinion the "tech in training" used a nozzle that had too much pressure on it and was placed too close to the covers which caused this. Furthermore, we told him that neither tech ever mentioned to us that this happened at all, yet surely the tech washing them must have seen that the finish came off upon washing them, yet instead of stopping after seeing what happened to ask us if they should continue, he continued with the process. According to another company we contacted to see what their opinion was on the finish that came off, we were told it should not have happened.
We paid a total of $568.00 and requested a partial refund of $250.00 which would have only covered part of the cost of either painting or replacing the 10 vents. Please note that this company has a 100% customer satisfaction policy on their website, yet they refused to compensate us and/or make any attempt to make things right. They also ignored the complaint we filed with the Better Business Bureau and all communication from them.
Also, as a side note, the tech arrived in a white van which had no logo on it, and neither tech was wearing a uniform, contrary to what is shown on their website.
In conclusion, this company does not honor their 100% customer satisfaction policy, or try to make things right, which is totally unprofessional; and as such, I do not recommend them.
